Looking for a quick, but long weekend break? Several Polish cities offer the perfect weekend city break--beautiful architecture, art exhibits, fabulous food, and nightlife--all compacted inside medieval walls. Picturesque-Poland offers a few examples, but we can design anything for you!

Krakow

Day 1st- Airport pick up and transfer to the hotel.  Afternoon private walking tour of Krakow including the Market Square, the biggest in Europe with its centerpiece the magnificent Cloth Hall built in 1349. Itinerary includes the old Jagiellonian University, the largest and the most magnificent St Mary’s Church and the exterior of the Royal Castle. Your guide will end the tour in the Jewish Quarter where, if you wish, a reservation in a Jewish restaurant will be made for one romantic dinner with Klezmer music concert.

Day 2nd, After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and transfer to Wieliczka Salt Mine ((UNESCO site) for a one hour and half tour in English.  After lunch, for your afternoon activity you will be taken to the infamous Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz, where you will join a tour of the facilities. Afterwards, on the way to your hotel driver will stop to show you Schindler’s factory the site of the famous movie The Schindler’s List.

Day 3rd, Free time to explore Krakow on your own. Recommended sightseeing tour of the interior of the Royal Castle Wawel can be arranged for you.

Afternoon pick up and transfer to the airport.

Warsaw

Day 1st Upon arrival in Warsaw, you will be met at the airport and transported to your selected hotel near the Old Town.  Afternoon on your own to explore the Old Town on foot. A recommendation and reservation for restaurant for dinner is available.

Day 2nd, Late morning half-day private tour of WARSAW will be arranged in advance.
The tour will include the Old Town with the buildings which are important for Polish history and culture and the exterior of the beautifully restored after WWII the Royal Castle, the site of the signing of the Constitution of May 3rd 1791, the first codified constitution in Europe.   The guide will also drive you to see the summer residence of Polish kings in Warsaw, Lazienki, with its beautiful gardens.


Dinner could be arranged in a very special restaurant which will give a feel of life in communist area www.czerwonywieprz.pl  or any other stylish place in an Old Town.

Day 3rd, Time of leisure in Warsaw or transport arranged to see the interior of the Royal Castle with its 300 rooms which have been carefully restored.  In the castle you can admire 23 paintings by Canaletto, 6 large Marcello Bacciarelli paintings and many impressive items saved by Polish people and donated to the castle after WWII. The self guided tour can be easily done with audio in English
Afternoon pick up and transfer to the airport.

Wroclaw

Day 1st, Upon arrival to Wroclaw airport you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel in an Old Town. Afternoon to explore on your own.

Day 2nd, Late morning five hour private walking tour of Wroclaw including Ostrow Tumski where you visit the cathedral –the main landmark of Wroclaw. Continue to the magnificent University buildings.  The tour will end with a stroll around the Market Square with amazing City Hall, the newest UNESCO site in Poland.

Day 3rd, Time on your own and afternoon pick up and transfer to the airport.

Gdansk

Day 1st, Upon arrival to Gdansk airport you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel near the Old Town.  In the afternoon  you will take three or five hour walking tour  with our professional guide of the historic Old Town in Gdansk, taking in the unique Gdansk Hanseatic architecture and learning about its fascinating history, visiting Gdansk History Museum and The Historic City Hall.

Recommendations and reservations for restaurants and available concerts at that time will be provided.

Day 2nd, After breakfast in your hotel you will be transported outside Gdansk to visit the Teutonic medieval Malborg Castle, a magnificent fortress.  Your tour conducted by an English speaking guide will take 3 hours with a break, if desired, in a stylish castle café.  After the tour your driver will take you back to your hotel.

Day 3rd, Day on your own to explore the Old Town on foot.

Afternoon pick up and transfer to the airport.

Depending on a season more extensive tour is available including Tricity area and quick visit to see the Baltic Sea coast and the beaches.
